Admission Process (प्रवेश प्रक्रिया)
Admissions to the Diploma courses at Government Polytechnic, Purnea are strictly merit-based and categorized into two pathways managed by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB)
• Regular Entry (3-Year Diploma Course)
• Eligibility
Candidates must have passed Class 10th (Matriculation).
• Selection Process
Based on the merit list of the Diploma Certificate Entrance Competitive Examination (DCECE - PE) conducted in offline mode. Final seat allotment is done through
online Polytechnic Admission Counselling.
Lateral Entry (2-Year Diploma Course - Direct 2nd Year / 3rd Semester Admission)
• Eligibility
Candidates who have passed 10+2 / Intermediate (Science with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Biology), Vocational/Technical subjects, or have completed a 10th + 2-year ITI program.
• Selection Process
Eligible candidates can secure direct admission into the second year of the 3-year diploma programs based on their performance and merit rank in the Diploma Entrance Competitive Examination (Lateral Entry) - [DECE (LE)]. Seats are allocated through the online BCECEB Lateral Entry counselling process.
